Romero A. et al., Aquaculture 533:736170 (2021), Universidad Austral de Chile and INCAR. In vitro (salmon SHK-1 cells) and in vivo study: juvenile Salmo salar fed NatControl® (0.5 kg/ton) for 14 days and challenged by cohabitation with Piscirickettsia salmonis reached 79.1% survival versus 52.7% in controls (RPS 48.1%), with higher expression of key immune-response genes (IL-12, CD8, MHC-I).
Six-month commercial trial in Oncorhynchus tshawytscha: first full characterization of the antimicrobial peptides HAMP and LEAP-2. NatControl® increases HAMP and LEAP-2 expression in kidney, spleen, liver, gills and skin.
60-day commercial trial in Salmo salar. Metabolomic (GC-MS) and skin gene-expression analysis: NatControl (1 g/kg) induces a metabolic profile that contributes to skin health and modulates gene expression to lower inflammation, reduce oxidative damage and protect against microbial challenges.
Full presentation of the UACh & Multi X trial results at AQUASUR 2026.
21-day trial in Litopenaeus vannamei: significantly higher final weight and a favorable trend in growth and feed conversion at 500 mg/kg, with immediate feed acceptance.
Yin X. et al., Frontiers in Immunology 13:990297 (2022). Independent study with andrographolide, one of NatControl®'s active compounds: four weeks of feeding improved growth and innate immunity (more hemocytes and greater phagocytosis) and lowered mortality after a Vibrio alginolyticus challenge, regulating inflammation and oxidative damage in hemocytes and hepatopancreas through the ROS-JNK pathway.
Commercial overview of NatControl® for salmon and shrimp.
